Abstract:

Institutional and organizational records of the US Navy's Medical Department; personal papers; oral histories; subject files including biographies and hospitals; and photograph collections. All are on the medical history of the Navy. Services include reference, photocopying, on-site research by appointment.

Holdings:

A few hundred 19th-20th century books in the Stitt Rare Book Collection; ~22,000 photographs (21,000 available digitally); 103 archival collections ranging from 1 folder up to 250 boxes. Arrangement and description is new as of 2011 and ongoing.
