Special Collections and Archives consists of the historical records of the Medical College of Virginia, VCU; the personal papers of Virginia health practitioners; the records of Virginia health organizations, particularly nursing; a medical history book collection, and a medical artifact collection. The unit is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, appointments are recommended. Reference, photocopy, photography and scanning services are available. No microfilming service. Collection is non-circulating; however, some items are loaned for exhibit.
